Yes. Online notarization is legally recognized in the United States and accepted worldwide, depending on the receiving party/country’s laws. When performed by a commissioned notary using state-approved Remote Online Notarization (RON) platforms, the notarization carries the same legal weight as an in-person signing.

For apostilles, the process is governed by the Hague Apostille Convention, an international treaty recognized by over 120 countries. An apostille certifies the authenticity of a notarized document so it can be used abroad. If the destination country is not part of the Hague Convention, the document may instead require embassy or consulate legalization.

We can accept both U.S. and non-U.S. identification. A valid driver’s license, state ID card, or passport are the most common forms of ID.

Once your document has been notarized, I submit it to the Secretary of State for apostille certification. A shipping label is included so the completed document can be delivered directly to the destination of your choice.

A witness can either be someone you know who joins the session online, or I can provide a trusted notary from my professional network to serve as a witness on your behalf.
